Growing crowd pressure caused it to lose its open status after 1925. It is a rewarding, if demanding golfing experience with a distinctive finishing four holes tucked tightly inside a concentric loop.

The etching features the towering sleepered Cardinal bunker stretched across the third hole to ensnare all but the long hitters.
