A unique portfolio of six collector’s prints including individual course histories and limited edition certificate.

The Portfolio contains six historic prints carefully selected from a series of twenty etchings created from original water colour drawings published in 1893. They represent an odyssey around the traditional golf courses of Victorian Scotland by John Smart, painting and playing. He synthesized an artist's eye and a golfer's insight to capture the essence of the links, a strand of scrub, grass and sand between sea and land sculpted by the elemental forces of nature and gradually reshaped over generations. Smart's work fixes the game at a crossroads, growing out its Scottish nursery to set down roots all around the world.
